Exploring the race map of the Prenn Trail Summit 2026 is a core preparatory step to mastering the game. This year's course is evaluated as a perfect blend of poetic natural beauty and the characteristic harshness of the Lam Dong mountains. Let's analyze every detail to build your optimal race strategy.

1.      Discover the Distinctive Flora of Lam Dong

Stepping onto the Prenn Trail Summit course, runners will immerse themselves in a natural ecosystem that changes continuously with altitude:

  • Pine Forests: Ancient three-needle pine forests offer a fresh atmosphere but harbor slippery traps caused by dry pine needles.
  • Tea Hills: Lush green tea valleys open up to majestic views during sunrise.
  • Rocky Streams & Primeval Jungles: Stream-crossing sections demand excellent balance. Deep inside the old-growth forests, high humidity and moss-covered tree roots will heavily test your footwork.

2.      Elev Profile Analysis & Dangerous Downhill Sections

The Elev graph for this year's race shows sharp spikes in the middle and late sections. Runners must face massive accumulated elevation gains across mountain peaks. The steep downhill sections are particularly hazardous. When the red basalt soil is dampened by night mist or spring rain, the descents into the valleys become extremely slick. Without proper speed and core control, the risk of ankle sprains or slipping is very high.

3.      Checkpoint (CP) Locations, Medical Stations & Cut-Off Time (COT) Rules

The Checkpoint (CP) system is distributed along the route with distances ranging from 10km to 15km depending on the terrain. Each CP is fully stocked with water, fruits, electrolytes, and medical staff for emergency first aid. However, athletes must remain hyper-aware of the Cut-Off Time (COT) at each station. If you arrive at a CP past the designated time, you will be disqualified to ensure your absolute safety.

4.      GPX Download Guide & Real-Time GPS PosTrack Tracking

The organizing committee provides detailed GPX files for each distance. You must download this file and sync it with your sports watches (Garmin, Coros, Suunto, etc.) before race day. Additionally, the GPS PosTrack real-time tracking system will be activated. This device allows organizers and relatives to pinpoint your exact location on the map, eliminating the risk of getting lost in the deep forests at night.
